Of all the cars we at Bamford Rose focus on, the Classic Vanquish is the most specialist and demanding for maintenance (and a personal favourite of one of our founders!). The classic Vanquish is much closer in its demands to the bespoke Aston Martins of the past and unlike the VH platform cars of today, the classic Vanquish does not suit simplistic servicing at all.
Over the years we have developed a formidable reputation for our expertise on the Vanquish, a car unique in regards the specialist skills required to maintain it. Indeed so unique, that the franchised dealer network typically no longer has the depth of knowledge to look after the model. Their high turnover of staff, the lack of specialist training and the lack of experience working upon classic Vanquish all mean they struggle to look after the car.
At Bamford Rose, we aim to be the centre of expertise on Vanquish. Over the years we have developed a rigorous process, treating every area of the car as if it is a potential area for attention. Our very extensive checklist list focuses on known trouble spots and extra opportunities for preventative maintenance – that can significantly mitigate future big bills. All done whilst remaining competitive with franchised rates. Typically a minor service will cost £750 (inclusive of VAT) and a major service £1,100 (inclusive of VAT).
Leveraging our engineering credentials the Bamford Rose approach to servicing is based pragmatically on analysing the car itself. Our approach takes into account three major factors: i) The mileage your vehicle has done – in total and since the last service, ii) What consumables were changed at last service and iii) Your vehicle’s intended usage for the coming year. Thus our servicing is tailored to each customer and their Vanquish.
Finally, over the years, Bamford Rose has also developed several careful evolutions of the car to tackle known weak spots including sub-frame maintenance (detailed below) and transmission performance and reliability (detailed in Vanquish road car upgrades).
