DB7 i6, DB7 V12 Vantage
The DB7, as it gracefully ages, is becoming more demanding for maintenance. Indeed the DB7 is very much closer in its demands to the bespoke Aston Martins of the past than the with VH platform cars of today. Simply put a DB7 no longer suits simplistic servicing.
Over the years we have developed a reputation for our expertise on DB7, be it the classic DB7 i6 or the first of the new era V12’s, the DB7 Vantage. These more specialist demands of DB7 as it ages, combined with the high turnover of staff, the lack of specialist training and lack in-depth DB7 experience means the franchised dealer network typically no longer has the depth of knowledge to look after DB7.
Bamford Rose is noted as a centre for expertise on DB7. Over the years we developed our own rigorous service check process that now greatly exceeds the standard dealer check. Bamford Rose treats every area of the car as if it is a potential area for attention. Our check list focuses on known trouble spots, corrosion traps (rear chassis radius arm mounting spots are top of the list!) and extra opportunities for preventative maintenance that can significantly mitigate future big bills. All of this whilst remaining competitive with franchised rates. Minor services are typically £700 (inclusive of VAT) and major £1050 (inclusive of VAT) for DB7 V12. For DB7 i6 please contact us directly.
Leveraging our engineering credentials, the Bamford Rose approach to servicing is pragmatically based upon analysis of the car itself. Our approach takes into account three major factors: i) The mileage your vehicle has done – in total and since the last service, ii) What consumables were changed at last service and iii) Your vehicles intended usage for the coming year.
Thus our servicing is tailored to each customer and their car. For that reason, we believe the OEM service schedule is too prescriptive and is over the top given the mileages done by most Aston Martins (we are, however, very happy to follow the full OEM schedule if that is requested!).
